For organizations

Your people, ready
on your own material.

Overtly turns your procedures, manuals and expert knowledge into short, practical courses, checks every factual claim against its source, and publishes nothing until you approve it. You pay per certificate, not per seat.

Your material. Your approval. Sources you can open.

Two colleagues reviewing a course plan on a tablet.

What you get

From what you have

Your knowledge,
not a generic library.

Bring what you have: manuals, SOPs, customer logs, decks, data. What is not written down, we draw out in a structured interview.

Built to be used

Short lessons,
real work.

Exercises on the learner's own job, in up to three depths. Some courses end in a tool your people keep, such as a calculator or a checklist.

Checked, and shown

Every claim
tied to a source.

You can show where every claim came from and who approved it. A check kept separate from the writing tests each factual claim against the source it cites.

How it works

Four steps. You approve at each one.

Nothing is published without your sign-off.

  1. Skills readiness assessment

Always first. We map the roles, the skills they need, the material you have and the gaps. You get a catalogue plan: which courses, how long, in what order. As a guide, it takes from two days for a single course to about a week for ten short ones.

  2. Build

From your material where it exists, and from published research where it does not. You approve the outline before a lesson is written.

  3. Check and approve

A claim check and a language check run on every module. Then you read the course and sign it off. A course that gives safety or medical guidance also needs a named expert reviewer before it is published.

  4. Publish

On Overtly, under your organization's name as the author.

Rights and confidentiality

Your material, your decision.

Rights. Sources are sorted before writing starts. Anything with unknown or restrictive terms is flagged to you, and the decision and the responsibility are yours.

Confidentiality. The material you give us to build from is confidential. If you build a course yourself, you handle your own material. If we curate or produce it for you, you authorize our access and we keep the same confidentiality.

Sources are published when the course is, so confidentiality is managed source by source. User logs are anonymized. Learner data is managed with consent, to GDPR standards.

Your people

Your courses, for your people.

Who takes them. Each course is either for your people only, from a list of work addresses you keep, or open to anyone. You open and close each course yourself, and the lessons of a course for your people can be served to them alone.

What you see. Your people's progress in your courses, person by person: who has started, how far each one is and who has finished. Download it as a spreadsheet whenever you need it.

What stays theirs. Each person sees what you will see before they join, and can leave at any time. What they learn elsewhere on Overtly reaches you only as totals, unless they choose to share it.

A space of your own. A page with your name and your courses. A larger program can have an address of its own.

How long a course takes

Days and weeks, not quarters.

Reference figures. Your proposal gives the dates for your own program.

Working days per course, including your own approvals.
Course typeLearning hoursFrom your materialFrom scratch
Short course3 to 1035
Course11 to 25510
Certificate program26 to 601225
Professional program61 to 1202550

Review adds half a day to five days per course, depending on how site-specific or sensitive the content is. Each further course in the same program takes about half the time of the first.

What it costs

Per certificate, not per seat.

Every program is quoted. After the assessment you receive a proposal for your catalogue. The figures here are for reference.

The assessment. A fixed price agreed before it starts, sized by how broad the catalogue is. It is credited in full once the program goes ahead with Overtly and the certificate fees reach its price.

Certificates. A fee for each certificate issued, set by the length of the course.

Course typeFee per certificate
Short courseUSD 20
CourseUSD 40
Certificate programUSD 60
Professional programUSD 100

There is no charge per seat and no license per learner. For a small number of learners, building the course yourself in Creator Studio usually makes more sense, and we will say so.

Added features such as rich video, interactive tools and the Companion assistant are not priced yet.

Certificates are in development and payments open in November. Until then every course in the catalogue is free and nothing is billed.

See the work

Judge it by what is already open.

Overtly is new and has no client list to show you. What we can show is the work.

  • Unlocking capex with talent. An open course on why new assets wait for the people who run them, built from public records and its author's practice. Free.
  • Talent on the critical path. The white paper on the same subject, with its sources.
  • Readiness gap calculator. Put a price on each week between handover and output at rate, on your own numbers. It runs in your browser; nothing you enter is sent or stored.
